Holiday Card Display Ideas

Looking for ways to display all those Holiday Cards? Here are some of my favs from Better Homes and Garden!!

Evergreen Christmas Card Display

Use classic Christmas decorations for a nostalgic Christmas card display. Place evergreen branches with pinecones still intact in a metal urn. If the branches don't have pinecones, use floral wire to attach them. Place the cards within the branches. Set the urn on a metal serving dish embellished with a large pinecone and holly.

Tree of Christmas Cards

Display your holiday cards on an easy-to-assemble tabletop tree. Fill a pitcher with twigs. Festoon twigs with ribbon and use binder clips to attach the cards.

Christmas Card Ornaments

Turn plain Christmas cards into festive ornaments. Choose cards with a simple design. Cut off the front of the card. Cover the back of the card in foil, folding the foil over the sides so they form a border in front. Stamp a seasonal greeting if the card doesn't already have one. Punch a hole in the card and hang with a ribbon. String beads or jewels onto the ribbon for an extra touch.

Ribbon Christmas Card Wall Hanging

Hang pretty cards with ribbon for a festive display. To create a ribbon card hanger, simply stitch ribbon in flaps and attach a kicky bow at one end with a few stitches. Add a picture hanger to the back of the bow and hang on the wall. Tuck a card under each flap and adhere with double-stick tape.

Christmas Card Wreath

Turn your favorite holiday cards into a whimsical wreath. Cut the cards into different-size circles (simplify the job with scrapbooking punches). Arrange the circles into a wreath shape, overlapping and securing the pieces with crafts glue. With a sewing machine, stitch over the top. Attach a ribbon to the top with a colored paper clip and hang.

Ladder Christmas Card Display

Make pretty holiday cards part of your decor by displaying them on a painted ladder. Tuck the cards over or between bungee cords screwed in place in an X pattern. Add hooks to the sides to hang stockings or candy-filled cones.

Jingle Bell Display

Big bells can be used for more than their good looks and sweet sound. Tip them over to create the perfect perch for your holiday cards.
